Taking an Inebriated Mans’ Cash at a NL Holdem Poker Table
I’m certain just about anyone who has wagered hold’em poker in a place where they serve booze has had this encounter at one time or another. Everyone at the table was definitely nice with the exception for Mr. I’m all in due to the fact I’m intoxicated. He had such a negative frame of mind and I felt like I was online playing in a freeroll for a minute due to the fact he would just keep going all in. He’d occasionally just call a bet. Every single time he would just call, I understood he had a terrible hand.
So, when it was my turn to call, I would raise with my good pocket pairs or my ace something. Every time he remained in the hand all the way to the river and then try to bluff. It was virtually as if he needed to give away his cash.
I bet at that particular table for no less than 3 hours and I counted at least four times the man went to the Bank and came back with at least $200 in chips. I would say I likely got a minimum of half of what he delivered to the table.
The following day, after I got home and counted my winnings, I kind of felt bad for winning all that cash. But then again, that man ought not to have been wagering hold em poker while he was inebriated!
A number of men and women may say that if I have to question my actions, then sure, it most likely wasn’t the correct point to do. But, do I feel poor about it, not definitely.
My viewpoint on taking a drunken person’s cash at the poker table is that if they’re foolish sufficient to wager on while intoxicated and is being careless, then have at it!
