Limit holdem Poker is the most popular variation of texas holdem poker, drawing many amateur poker players. The reason it’s so popular is due to the fact that the betting is not overly aggressive. The stakes are not high due to the fact that the wagering is limited, you will easily compete with a small amount of money.

If you are playing at a 50c/$1 Limit texas hold’em Poker game, the betting will be constrained to increments of 50 cents during the pre-flop and flop, and one dollar for the Turn and River rounds.

In Limit poker rooms the best poker hand by and large wins, because players are most likely to stay in the game and force a showdown. If you were wagering in a No Limit Poker Room players are more likely to drop out before the turn or river, than chance blowing a huge piece of their bankroll.

Tricking in Limit rounds is not all that common, because it’s not too costly for your opponent to call if he/she thinks that you are attempting to trick him.

If you are wagering at a lower-limit game and you’re dealt a great hand you should try to maintain as many players in the round as you can. Attempt checking if you’re one of the first to place a wager, this should fool most bettors into believing your cards are weak.

The key is to attract as many wagers out of your competitors without exposing that you are in a powerful spot.

In low-limit poker games you should keep a lookout for pre-flop hands that are no less than nines or higher pair, or two big rank unpaired cards.
